Cinemedic at FutureSim – The University of Gloucestershire's high-tech training hub
At the end of March 2026, Ian from Mirno travelled to Gloucestershire to deliver the first Cinemedic Pro hardware system to a UK customer. The University of Gloucestershire is opening ‘Futuresim’, their multi-million pound inter-disciplinary training centre for healthcare and emergency responders.

Mirno cofounders David and Ian met the University of Gloucestershire at the 2025 ASPiH conference in Bournemouth. There, they learned about the ambitious plans of the Gloucestershire team, and how they envisaged Cinemedic as a key new technology for the university.
Futuresim supports simulation training for not only healthcare students and professionals, but also emergency responders including police. Cinemedic allows for realistic virtual avatars to be shown to learners, instead of lifeless manikins.
This trip was also where Mirno launched our collaboration with RIB Productions, an innovative company developing sophisticated manikins with embedded sensor technology. We look forward to deeper collaboration with RIB in the near future!
