Mirno wins the 2026 Healthtech Award at Vitalis

On May 5 Ian travelled to Gothenburg, Sweden for the 2026 edition of Vitalis, the Swedish healthcare conference. The main purpose of the trip was to participate in the ‘A Great Pitch’ event, meet our business advisors at Sahlgrenska Science Park, and meet people interested in Mirno.

Separately, Mirno had applied to the Healthtech Award 2026. This award was judged by a 6-person jury prior to the event, according to criteria including Innovation, Involvement of users/patients in development, Scalability and Market Potential, Prediction, Sustainability, Care outcomes, and Social Impact.

The award was presented by Dan Sten Olsson, CEO of Stena AB — the Swedish shipping giant.

To our surprise and delight, Mirno won the 2026 award. We are continually grateful for the support we have been shown by the innovation and healthcare community in Gothenburg. As an Icelandic company, Mirno have received a wealth of support in Sweden, and we look forward to returning to Vitalis in 2027.
